Jonny’s Bursting Colors and Design

At the American Towman Expo in Baltimore, this year's AT Pageant produced an array of head-turning tow trucks with arresting graphics.

One impressive unit with a vibrant design in the 2016-'17 Light Duty Class was owned by Jonny's Towing of Lombard, Illinois. Their 2017 Ford F-550 Chevron 408 Renegade stood out for its colors and creative design.

"We decided to drive it out to Baltimore from Chicago because we were picking up a new rotator at the Expo," said owner Jonny Maye. "We thought that it would be great to enter our latest wrap in the contest. The design was done by B Designs of Oswego, Illinois."

There are many striking features of the graphics. Its flashy scheme blended a variety of rich colors to create "wow" factor.

Giving the design depth is a layer of graffiti art on the hood, along with the redesigned company logo; the logo also is located on both sides of the unit and several other places.

"We were going for something cool," Maye said, "something from the street. We also were going for an industrial feel; something that would pop out and catch your attention. Our logo was just redesigned, and we really like it."
So do others. It gets a lot of compliments on the road and pictures are taken.

Maye said, "When the kids say to their parents, 'Mommy and daddy look at that truck!', mommy and daddy don't forget Jonny's."

Other touches include the company slogan, "Get Hooked on Us," and the company phone number displayed vertically and horizontally.
